If we learned anything from that nail-biter of a drag race between the 2013 Nissan Juke-R and the Bugatti Veyron, it's that an inordinate price tag doesn't always mean inordinate performance. Because if there's one thing we love about our new and used cars here at Lithia Nissan of Eugene, it's that rare combination of affordability and power. And now that they're getting that much more affordable, it's no surprise that the competition is scrambling.
In case you haven't heard, Nissan recently slashed the prices on seven of their most popular models. The reductions ranged from a $580 drop on the 2013 Nissan Alitma to a $4,400 on the 2013 Nissan Armada, and it was music to our customers' ears. As for what caused this automotive Blue Light Special, all signs point to Google:
"Our strategy is not to be at a discount," says Jose Munoz, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Nissan. "We want to be simply competitive so that we are included in search engines which are used by customers."1
As a result, Nissan's sales skyrocketed by 25% last month, almost tripling the rest of the industry's sales average. Needless to say, the rest of the industry is trying to cook up new ways to match Nissan's profits without reducing prices on their models, but with sales like these, we're thinking they might want to go back to the drawing board.
So if you'd like to learn more about how much you can save with these beauties at our dealership here in Eugene, OR, the experts in our car financing department would be happy to help you out. After all, you need that arm and a leg.
