Folks, we don't know how we survived before the dawn of streaming radio. So long, days of carrying around Discmans and CD binders like the cavemen and -women we were. This is the year 2013; the future is now. And now that our favorite automaker has teamed up with one of the biggest innovators in the music industry, we here at Lithia Nissan of Eugene just couldn't be more excited.

In case you missed it, Apple released their new iOS 7 operating system last week that everyone with an iPhone can download free of charge. But of all the new cutting-edge features it brings to the table, iTunes Radio was the one that really caught our ears.

If you haven't had the chance to use it, iTunes Radio is a streaming radio service that functions similarly to things like Spotify and Pandora. Just create a station based on a song or artist that you like and iTunes Radio will take the wheel from there to broaden your musical horizons and play stuff you already love.

Unfortunately, the catch is that we still have to listen to promotional ads between every few songs. Well in an effort to make them a whole lot easier on the ears, Nissan became an exclusive partner with iTunes Radio. As for what compelled them to get involved with the gang at Apple, they have a lot more in common than you might think.

"Nissan, as a brand also known for innovation, is proud to support iTunes Radio from the very beginning, with content relevant to consumers' interests," says Jon Brancheau, vice president of Marketing at Nissan North America, Inc. "We see iTunes Radio being a huge success and we look forward to delivering amazing brand experiences to this exciting new audience."1

So if you'd like to tune in, then get yourself an iPhone. Or if you'd like to experience it behind the wheel of one of our new or used cars, your test drive awaits you at our dealership here in Eugene, OR. Rock on.
