As we mentioned all the way back in July, our 2013 Nissan LEAF models are more popular than ever. Can't say we're all that surprised here at Lithia Nissan of Eugene, after all, there's never been a better time than now to experience all there is to love about our signature EV. And in case you're still unconvinced, the brass at Nissan are making it easier than ever to start drinking the Kool-Aid.
From now until March 31, Nissan is offing an incentive to companies, groups and other interested parties to make quick-charging stations that much more prevalent for EV drivers. More specifically, the program is offering $10,000 to for those organizations that install a CHAdeMO quick-charging station on their premises.
Like we said, the offer is valid through the end of March, but for organizations that sign on and install their chargers by December 31, they'll be given an additional $5,000. Not only that, but those who take advantage of the incentive before the end of this year will be eligible for a Federal Alternative Fuel Infrastructure tax credit which covers 30% of the installation cost up to $30,000.
Being that it costs roughly $40,000 to purchase and install one of these quick-charging stations, an offer like this is a textbook no-brainer.
With that said, make sure you tell your boss and make sure they act fast if they want to save big and go green at the same time. Or if you'd like to experience the LEAF for yourself before you charge on into their office, your test drive awaits you at our dealership here in Eugene, OR.
